Well…….. it was another beautiful weekend here in Central Ohio. I decided to celebrate the arrival of Fall by spending some time outside. I was scheduled to do a 9 mile training walk on Sunday and I set out to accomplish that task. I ended up only getting 7 miles in due to what I thought was a large blister forming on the side of my left foot. No blister was found but I do have two small cracks on my left heel. I will definitely start using the Zim’s Crack Cream on the heels. Other than that everything went well. I am still trying to figure out what I should eat before the long walks and when. Hopefully, I will get it right next week. Next Sunday is my final long walk – 10 miles – before the tapering down prior to the Half Marathon.
So here are my split times for the walk: (1) 17:20, (2) 16:35, (3) 17:19, (4) 16:19, (5) 16:59, (6) 17:13 and (7) 20:30. My total time for the 7 miles was 2:02:17.
