Training Log - June 1, 2007

Today continues the summer like conditions. I will say the having someone that we walk for does make a difference. Work responsibilities pushed my lunch out 30 min. and I started thinking about how much hotter it would be. I started to talk myself into not walking because of the heat. Then I thought how lame that excuse was in light of what Alwyn and the thousands of others that are having to go thru chemo and radiation today were going through. So I put my stuff on and headed out with a new dedication.

It was another sunny day. The temperature at 11:37 when I began was 83 degrees with 53% humidity (H.I. 85). There was a slight breeze that helped a little. By the time the 3.05 mile walk was over it was 88 degrees with humidity of 35% (H.I. 88). I completed my walk in 52 minutes flat. That is a pace of 17:03 min/mile.
